Simple Image Relaxation Video With Relaxing Zen Music By rjnic0las

I was having trouble sleeping so I limewired this Zen track it helped me a lot.

This simple image relaxation video by rjnic0las is 7 minutes 9 seconds long and displays several themes of nature scenes. The video uses still images of nature scenes in combination with relaxing Zen type music.

Video Components

The video theme is not well focused which does not aid focusing of attention and relaxation.

There are a number of scenes used in this simple relaxation video which are nice but some of the scenes are out of focus.

The audio used in this relaxation video is just music which is very nice and very relaxing.

The scenes of this simple image relaxation video show nature images, including: rivers, birds, trees, sunlight, hills, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, oceans, skies, clouds and roads.

Each image is displayed for a good length of time to aid the focusing of attention during relaxation. However, the image sizes used for this image relaxation video are not all uniform and the sizes do not fill the screen completely such that distracting black bars are visible at the sides of the video screen. These latter factors are distracting to concentration which is detrimental to relaxation.

The transition types between images are simple cross fades which help maintain a relaxed state. However, the transition times between images are a little too fast which means they can tend to break concentration and relaxation.

Special Techniques

The video uses a very slow zooming in technique to give the feeling of motion which I think aids relaxation.

To me this simple image relaxation video is ok as an ambient background video as it is quite interesting with a good variety of nature scenes and some lovely relaxing music. However, I could not see myself using it for relaxation as I think it needs several improvements: the theme needs to be more focused; the images should all be in focus; the images should all be the same size to fill the screen without black borders; plus the transition times should be longer.
