Soothing Relaxing Music Video (Linkin Park – In The End) By wushuugirl
I made this video when I was 12. My cousin found the song on a website and she shared it with me. Instantly, I was inspired by it and what came to mind was to make a video about our planet and showing its beauty. I never thought that I was going to get the reaction that it got and is still having. People from all over the world have messaged me and said that they have shared it with their friends, that it has helped them overcome anxiety, made them remember their best friend that moved away, helped them with their grief and many other things that I wouldn’t have thought possible. I’m glad I’ve helped you guys in any sort of way, like doing your homework. Thank you for your support after 5 years of making this…
This simple image relaxation video by wushuugirl is 7 minutes 9 seconds long and displays several themes of nature. It uses still images of nature scenes in combination with relaxing music. The video has millions of views and thousands of likes so it must have struck a chord with many people and has apparently caused many arguments over religion and beliefs.
Although this relaxation video is mainly about nature and its beauty, The video changes between landscapes to animals and creatures and has some miscellaneous scenes. The video theme is not well focused and I believe this to be distracting to the focusing of attention and relaxation.
There are a number of scenes used in this simple relaxation video which are various landscapes, various animals and some miscellaneous scenes. Some of the scenes are lovely and I especially like second scene of ocean waves on a beach.
The audio used in this relaxation video is just music which is a famous track called “Linkin Park” which nice and relaxing with a tempo which is ok for relaxation.
The scenes of this image relaxation video show images of: beaches, oceans, coastline, mountains, hills, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, rain, water, skies, clouds, rainbows, snow and ice, sunsets, and also trees, flowers, insects, horses, birds, dolphins, fish, turtles, butterflies, wolves, polar bears, pandas, dogs, tigers, seals, killer whales, sharks, fireworks, buildings and people. According to the video author it is to reflect the beauty in the world.
The image sizes used for this image relaxation video are all one size but the image size does not fill the screen completely and distracting black bars are visible. The display time of each image is a bit too short and I found this to be distracting to concentration which is detrimental to relaxation.
The transition types between images are simple cross fades which help maintain a relaxed state but the transition times between images are too fast which means they can tend to break concentration and relaxation.
The video also uses a pan and zoom technique to give the feeling of motion which I think aids relaxation.
This video is a fair effort, especially as the author was only 12 when she made it. The music features a piano and is very good for relaxation and there is good use of pan and zoom on still images. However, the theme is not well focused, there are miscellaneous scenes, the images swap too fast and the image transitions are too short. As regards relaxation, the seemingly random nature of the images does not quite do the music justice so it does not quite work as a relaxation video for me. However, for me this would be a good ambient background video as it has a good variety of interest for the viewer.
What do you think about the video? Relaxing? Tell me in the comments!
