Positive Affirmations For Confidence Part Two By TheHonestGuys
This positive affirmations, or positive thoughts image relaxation video by TheHonestGuys is 1 minute 57 seconds long and focuses on a single theme of positive affirmations for confidence. It uses a special effects scene in combination with music and a male voice speaks the affirmations.
The theme of the video is well focused on positive affirmations for confidence. The affirmations are done in the first person, for example, “I now concentrate on the success of today”. These positive thoughts are supported by a visual secondary theme of a special effect. These two focused factors help with concentration.
There are no scenes used in this video, just one continuous special effect as described below.
The audio used in this positive affirmations relaxation video contains music which is played continuously in the background. The music has a tempo which gives the feeling of energy for confidence. Affirmations are spoken at intervals using a calm male voice and at a volume that is louder than the background music so that they are heard clearly. However, the time gap between each spoken affirmation does not allow time for thought, so the overall effect is one of energetic relaxation if that is possible. The video fades in slowly from black and the positive affirmations begin at 15 seconds after introductory title screens:
I now concentrate on the success of today.
I now release all hurt, I forgive.
I conquer my fear.
I am in control of my life.
I care about myself.
I create joy and happiness and I let go of worry.
I am motivated to improve.
I conquer my fear.
I now expect my life to be good and joyous and it is.
I am constantly changing for the good.
Whatever my imperfections I accept myself totally and completely.
I now begin to experience firm conviction that I can and I will succeed.
I practice self-discipline as a natural condition of achieving my dreams.
I am responsible for my life.
I deserve to be treated courteously and with respect by everyone.
I have faith in my abilities, my beliefs and myself.
At 1 minute 45 seconds the ending title screens begin and the video fades out to slowly to black.
As there are no scenes used in this video, there are no images used either, just one continuous special effect as described below.
Note: The thumbnail image used to promote this short video is of a sunset beach scene. This is misleading as there are no such scenes used in the video.
As there are no scenes or images used in this video there are no transitions used. However the video does fade in from black and fade out to black slowly.
The video uses a visual special effect which gives the feeling of motion along a tunnel or path which I think aids concentration. The size of the image fills the screen completely. The special effect gives the impression you are in motion as you look through the front of some kind of vehicle. A variable colour stream of green and blue light moves past each side of you, coming from a central focal point, giving the impression of forward motion. Above and below in the middle is an eye shaped area of light blue with a dark boundary which gives the impression of sky seen through an eye. You could say it is like travelling along a road at high speed with the green scenery either side and a blue sky above which reflects off the road.
This short guided relaxation video with examples of positive affirmations for confidence is excellent for feeling confident but not particularly for feeling relaxed. The affirmations are a good length and thought provoking. The special effect tunnel helps to focus your attention on the affirmations. The male instructor speaks with a good tone of voice for relaxation and at a pace which is good for relaxation. As the video is only short with no variety of images it is not suitable for use as an ambient background video.
