The Ingleton waterfalls trail has a rich variety of unique geological features and plant life that prompted Natural England to declare the Ingleton Glens a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Starting from Ingleton with the route rises beside the River Twiss, through the Twiss Valley’s Swilla Glen, over Manor Bridge and through Pecca Glen. It then provides views of First Pecca Falls from Pecca Bridge, Pecca Twin Falls and Hollybush Spout; then Thornton Force and along the Raven Ray ridge of rock debris left by a glacier, plus Raven Ray Bridge. The route then passes Scar End Farm, over an old Roman Road and through The Falls Refreshment Centre to the Doe Valley and the River Doe. The route then descends, passing Beezley Falls, Triple Spout and Rival Falls; then through Baxenghyll Gorge before arriving at Snow Falls; crossing a final bridge and through an old quarry back to Ingleton.
