Guided Meditation Candle For Relaxation By TheHonestGuys
…Relax and sooth your mind into a tranquil state with this gentle guided meditation…
This guided relaxation meditation video by TheHonestGuys is 8 minutes 25 seconds long and focuses on a single theme of the guided meditation for relaxation. It uses still video of a lit candle and there is a male instructor voiceover to guide you through the guided meditation techniques whilst relaxing music is played in the background.
The main theme of this guided meditation relaxation video is well focused on guided meditation, more specifically the guided meditation for relaxation. There is also a secondary image relaxation theme based around a lit candle to aid relaxation.
The audio used in this guided relaxation meditation video contains the voice of the male instructor. The tone and pace of the instructor is nice and relaxing. There is also relaxing music played in the background.
The verbal instructions given by the male instructor in this guided relaxation meditation video are clear and detailed.
He starts speaking at 11 seconds with an introduction and preparatory breathing exercise:
Treat yourself now, to a nice relaxing time out.
Take this time to give your mind a moment of tranquility and give yourself a break from the constant internal mental chatter that can be so tiring.
Make sure you are sitting comfortably.
Take a slow deep breath
Feel your lungs fill with cool fresh air.
Exhale hot tense air.
Take another deep refreshing breath, exhaling away any tensions so you can enjoy this relaxing experience.
Now just breath normally, becoming more and more relaxed with each exhale of breath.
At 1 minute 44 seconds the guided meditation begins:
Focus on the flame now, and as you look in to its centre, allow your body to rest peacefully, comfortably
Let your eyes relax and perhaps even close slightly if this is more comfortable for you.
See only the flame.
Let any other thoughts or observations fall away.
If you find thoughts are coming into your mind, don’t worry this id perfectly normal.
Just keep your eyes and your focus on the flame.
At 2 minutes 45 seconds the male instructor pauses his instructions for 20 seconds until 3 minutes 5 seconds:
You don’t need to interact with your thoughts, just watch them come and then watch them go, just like clouds in the sky.
Simply watch your thoughts drifting by.
At 3 minutes 28 seconds the male instructor pauses his instructions for 38 seconds until 4 minutes 6 seconds to watch your thoughts:
The only thing you need to do right now is focus on the flame.
There is only the flame.
At 4 minutes 20 seconds the male instructor pauses his instructions for 32 seconds until 4 minutes 52 seconds and continues saying the following sentences with long pause in between each one:
Enjoy the sensations of being still.
Enjoy the state of your calm relaxed mind.
As you watch the flame, be open to whatever insight or ideas that may come to you.
There is then another long pause by the male instructor for 2 minutes from 5 minutes 50 seconds until 7 minute 50 seconds for contemplation:
When you’re ready to end this meditation, take a deep breath and continue with your day.
The music continues to play along with the lit candle whilst title screens are shown before the music and the image of the lit candle slowly fade to black.
There is only one scene used throughout the entire guided meditation relaxation video which is that of a lit candle on a black background which I found to be quite relaxing.
The scene of this guided relaxation meditation techniques video show images of a lit white candle with the glow of its flame on a black background which fills the screen completely.
As there is only one continuous image there are no transitions used in this guided meditation for relaxation.
There are no special effects used in this relaxation video.
This guided meditation techniques video is excellent at taking you through a short guided meditation for relaxation session. It is done at a relaxed pace with a relaxed tone of voice from the male instructor and with lovely relaxing music, plus the instructions are clear and detailed. It has an excellent simple image relaxation video aspect to it, displaying a lit candle with the glow of its flame against a black background. I found this great for relaxation and meditation.
I’m not sure what the boat on the beach scene has to do with the video though! I think it needs to be changed to a candle.
