Bumble Bee Breath Or Bhramari Breath By thecoralchannel
This week on Surviving Yoga, Sarah demonstrates a quick breathing technique called Bhramari – also known as bumble bee breath!…
This guided relaxation breathing exercises video by thecoralchannel is 32 seconds long and focuses on a single theme of the “Bumble Bee Breath”, also known as (Bhramari Pranayama and Humming Bee Breath). This still video clip has a female instructor to explain the bumble bee breath and also demonstrate it in a fun and upbeat manner. She speaks and demonstrates at the same time whilst relaxing music is played in the background.
The theme of this relaxation video is well focused on breathing exercises, more specifically the Bumble Bee Breath Or Bhramari Breath. After a very brief introduction on this technique being of benefit to calm anxiety and reduce stress, she gives a very basic demonstration of the technique.
The audio used in this Bumble Bee Breath breathing exercises video contains the voice of the female instructor. Her tone and pace is not a relaxed one though but more of a fun upbeat tone. There is also relaxing music played in the background.
The verbal instructions are given by the female instructor are clear, although they are not very detailed.
The demonstration is given by the same female that gives the instructions. In other words, she is demonstrating whilst talking. She is in a frontal seated body position on a chair and does not use any visual cues during the demonstration except the emphasis of breathing in and out.
There is only one scene used throughout the entire Bumble Bee Breath video which is that of the female instructor demonstrating the breathing exercise within a room. The room is darkened with light coming in from outside and several items of furniture are visible.
The scene of this Bumble Bee Breath video show images of the female instructor and a room with furniture. The camera angle is horizontal towards the female instructor with the room in view behind her.
This breathing exercises video with an example of Bumble Bee Breath is very basic and probably good for getting young kids interested in trying it out. However, it does not explain or demonstrate the breathing technique in any great detail and is not done in a relaxed tone or at a relaxed pace. Although done well, I would describe it as a fun, punchy video for kids who have a short attention span.
What do you think about the video? Relaxing? Tell me in the comments!
